Minnesota Stories:
I was 23 years old when my uncle first introduced me to bear hunting. Many memories have been made along the way, but I’ll never forget the intense preparation it required.
Bear hunting has taught me many lessons. I now know not to expect to be eating bear the first night. I learned to make sure that your seat is comfortable; you’ll be there for a very long time. And finally, I’ll always remember you should never forget anything at the stand when leaving at dusk without a flashlight or a compass!
As I have gotten older, my love of the outdoors has expanded. I also enjoy getting lost while hiking in the woods, taking my chances on “Death Tube” on Upper Hay Lake, and biking with Minnesota’s second state bird – The Mosquito!
I can’t wait to share these Minnesota experiences with my children.
