Minnesota Stories:

I was 4 years old when my nana first introduced me to fishing. Many memories have been made along the way, but I’ll never forget when Nana made me kiss the first fish I caught.

Fishing has taught me many lessons.  I now know that patience is a virtue, and the fish will bite when they are good and ready.  I learned that sometimes the fish eat more worms than I eat fish.  And finally, I‘ll always remember that fish are slippery little suckers, and if you don’t hold on tight they will flop their way back into the water.

As I have gotten older, my love of the outdoors has expanded.  I also enjoy getting lost while hiking in the woods, taking my chances on “Death Tube” on Upper Hay Lake, and biking with Minnesota’s second state bird – The Mosquito!

I can’t wait to share these Minnesota experiences with my grandchildren.
