I was 8 years old when my parents first introduced me to camping.  Many memories have been made along the way, but I’ll never forget when I climbed to the top of the fire tower for the first time

Camping has taught me many lessons.  I now know that raccoons have great dexterity, and if you have food in your tent, they will come in and get it.  I learned that if you are out of kindling for your campfire, do not attempt to use toilet paper – you will regret it with every light breeze.  And finally, I’ll always remember that the best sunsets are viewed over a Minnesota lake.

As I have gotten older, my love of the outdoors has expanded.  I also enjoy getting lost while hiking in the woods, taking my chances on “Death Tube” on Upper Hay Lake, and biking with Minnesota’s second state bird – The Mosquito!

I can’t wait to share these Minnesota experiences with my children.
