2008 Spring Issue - Minnesota Food for Thought

During a Minnesota spring, our thoughts turn to many things – especially growing things.  Farmers plant their fields, many of us plant our gardens, and all of us celebrate the chance to savor the Great Outdoors in warmth again. We also think about grilling out and eating fresh Minnesota food.

In this issue of our magazine we talked to a variety of Minnesotans about organic farming, farmers’ markets, cooking fish and game, and food production’s impact on the environment.  There’s good news growing around the state, from urban fresh food restaurants to rural sustainable farms.
